This is a cute little delicious, healthy, skin-loving treat that is raw and vegan, and pretty easy to make. Inspired by my Pascarelli friends who make some of the best raw food I have ever been lucky enough to enjoy....I tried to recreate the bars they used to make locally years ago. Maybe some of my local readers will remember these.
Anyways, my recipe goes like this.
Layer 1: Process in food processor resh strawberries, coconut oil, and a little maple syrup.
Pour into square silicone molds for bottom layer then place in freezer to set at least a half hour.
Layer 2: Coconut oil, vanilla, and maple syrup. Maca powder would be a great addition as well! Pour over strawberry layer and allow to set in freezer about a half hour.
Layer 3: Cacao powder, maple syrup, coconut oil, pinch of salt. Process in food processor and pour as top layer.
Allow these cuties to set at least an hour then pop out and enjoy!
